In the Montessori Integrated kindergarten Munich East (MIMO e.V.), 15 children with and without disabilities attend from the age of 3 until they start school.
Among other things, the children have the opportunity to take part in horse riding therapy. This is very important for the children due to its complex method of action. It increases self-esteem and self-confidence, improves balance, coordination and body control and has a muscle tone-regulating effect. Severely traumatized children feel secure and develop trust in themselves and the horse. Children who cannot regulate their emotions become calm on the horse and come into themselves. Children with behavioral problems learn to accept and adhere to rules by working on and with the horse.
